Lets file a class action lawsuit against Homecomings

HOMECOMINGS FINANCIAL complaint
I recently called Homecomings Financial in need of support, they connected me to different employees; from the collection dept., to the refinancing dept., with no helpful result. I spoke with Mrs. Carrie, Mrs. Mel, Mrs. Mary Ann, Mr. David, Mr. Wilson, Melchionda Loan Officer and finally Mrs. Lakina from the legal dept. for a loan modification.

After a lengthy conversation, explaining my financial hardship and present circumstances the answer was, "Sell your home, we'll take the lost."

My advise to everyone; lets call our Attorney Generals Office, lets file a complaint and a class action lawsuit.

I'm in Sanford, FL. and my name is Bermudez, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Let the chips fall where they may, and in this case Homecomings house of cards will fall on them, I'm ready.

I called to see if I could refinace my 2nd loan for an exsisting non interest only loan that I have with them. I talked to the rudest women ever! She told me that my house was not worth enough to refinace as she could see the tax amount. I tried to explain to her that the amount was not accurate. Her response was "I don't expect you to understand. What kind of remark is that??!!! Then tells me I will need 10,000 if I want to refinance my exsisting loan with them.

I cool down and decide that I am going to call back and talk to a manager. The man that answers the phone refuses to pass me to a manager. He then explains to me that they are not customer service they are loan officers. They do not need to give customer service becasue they are not customer service. He also tells me that they do not make a penny as long as someone is on the phone. They only get paid if they get someone's loan. If she saw that she could not do the loan her job is to get me off the phone because there are 5 people waiting behind me.

I can't beleive how rude these people are. I was pissed! I hate the fact that any of my money even goes to these people now! I hate that I help pay their salaries. I will never have a good thing to say about them again.

She then proceeded to say " You will need like $10,000 to refinace.

Homecomins has been a nightmare for me as well. they sent us into bankruptcy. Could not make a payment and ask to move to end of note they declined becuase of payment history. Filed bankrupt and it got too bad. Making all payments on time they stopped sending me payment slips. They went up on mortgage rate and never told us. They charged us a late fee of $70 a month for almost 2 years without notice. They then demanded the late fees and started the forecluse process. Take in mind me had never missed a payment. The attorneys stop the foreclusure and they still sold our house. The attorneys got the house back, and they still are charging us late fees every month while we make payments on time. we have thought about selling and trying to get away from this nightmare, but then we are without a home. They have killed our credit or what little credit we had. Please make this company do business the correct way. I am ready to go the distant.

Homecomings Financial are Crooks!! Our house was destroyed by a Tornado 2 months ago. We did not trust to go through there so called claims process! So we were forced to cash in our savings and pay the $90,000 to repair our home. We had heard horror stories of Homecomings financial redirecting claims money into the interest portion of mortgage loans leaving the mortgage payer left with paying the contractors. We are now trying to get them to endorse the insurance claims check back to us!! They told us that they own the house and they have a right to protect there interest on the loan!? They are not wanting to do this? Even after 100% completion of the home!! the house is now in better condition than it has ever been in! They have also turned us over to the credit bureaue for being late when we were not? Customer service will not help you! Beware of there interest modification program!!!! They reduced our rate from 15.8% to 9.775% and marked us as being late during the refinance? I was totally current on the loan. Here is the kicker! They told me that I would be shown late during the 1 month loan modification process. If you are refinacing our home, how can you be late? their is no payment due until closing! I could go on forever ranting about these crooks!! Consumer beware!!! HOMECOMINGS FINANCIAL ARE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH!

After getting a subprime arm loan-our pymt increased $1200.00.We have struggled for 1 yr. we contacted a rep in the loan modification dept named Lakina we were told several times that we were approved for a loan modification.then after countless attempts to contact her again we were told that we did not qualify-by this time homecomings had reported us 30 days past due-now we will never be able to refinance-we called back and spoke to lakina who told me they would foreclose on us that they could not do anything to help us at all-she hung up on me! Now we dont know what to do-we have had to tell our 3 children that we may lose our home.I hate Homecomings Financial they backed us into a corner w/ no where to turn!

Have you filed a complaint with the Federal trade Commission? I got the same runaround you did, only the last conversation i had with them, they hung up on me! Also, get ahold of Hope Home Now Alliance and get a case filed, then contact Acorn Housing. They are govt agency that will make these crooked mortgage companies work with you. If enough unfortunate people that have homecomings as their lender, files with this agency, they will be in the spotlight!
